Regulation 20 of the Town and Country (Local Planning) (England) Regulations
2026
Cornwall Council is consulting on the scope of the new Cornwall Local Plan. This
'scoping stage' is the earliest stage of writing that new plan. It sets out the evidence
and opinions that we have collected to help us to understand how we will write the
plan and what it should contain. We now want to hear your opinions on what the plan
should include.
There are a number of documents that we'd like your comments on. You do not have
to comment on all of them. They set out:
• Our draft vision for Cornwall,
• Key facts and figures (baseline),
• The evidence that we've collected across different subjects,
• A draft engagement strategy, and
• Policy ideas
We'd also be interested in your views on our site allocations methodology.
Each document contains a short survey to help you give your views. We would like
you to use the survey, but you can also send us comments separately to:
localplan@cornwall.gov.uk
The documents may be found at: https://letstalk.cornwall.gov.uk/cornwall-local-plan
